  Aaran Da Costa was in Jamaica most likely with his family from about 1820. <hr> Aaron Da Costa was a merchant and traded to the West Indies where he took his family from about 1835 to 1840 with daughters Emma and Edith having both been born in Jamaica. Under the column "Increase and cause thereof" there are two names which I can't decipher followed by "in Kingston 1807". The document is signed by Aaron Gomes Da Costa and dated 29th August 1820. As Aaron himself was only about 18 at the time, this may have been the first slave he owned. Also there are other Da Costa record as slave owners in Kingston at the same time including a Jacob Da Costa. <hr>
