Headstone gives Elizabeth's date of death as July 3, 1952 <hr>
EDUNGALBA
The death occurred recently in a private hospital in Rockhampton of an old and much respected resident, Mrs Elizabeth Dobbs, of Avondale, Boolburra.
Born in Maryborough 80 years ago, Mrs Dobbs in her early years travelled to various parts of Queensland and on one occasion
accompanied her parents on a visit to England. Later the family lived at Mt Morgan, where she met and married Mr Charlie Dobbs.
From then on she lived chiefly at Boolburra, where she and her husband engaged in dairy farming and concentrated on the raising of pedigreed Jersey cattle.
During the war, Mrs Dobbs was an indefatigable knitter for the Comforts Fund and she made many pairs of socks.
Latterly failing health compelled her to live nearer the city and her declining years were spent with her sister at Kabra.
Her husband pre-deceased her 10 years ago.
