    • Could this be this George Silver and a Bisset relation involved in the following? -
      On the 6th June 1651, the Scottish Crown Jewels were placed in the custody of Earl Marshal of Scotland, whose subsequent choice of George Ogilvie as Lieutenant Governor led to the men and women of the Mearns undertaking the Defence of the Castle and the Regalia with enterprise and valour. George Ogilvie in his own hand provided a: “Listing of the names of the Souldiers of the Garison of Dunotter and from quhom they are come My Lords men come out baronies of Dunotter & Urie My Lords Men For the Mylne of Uras Jon Bisset & Geo Silver – one man called James Kemlo elder (there are other names on the list)<hr>
