      CAMPBELL-ALDRIDGE.
      A quiet -wedding was celebrated at St Stephen's Cathedral on November 26, when the Rev Father Maloney solemnised the marriage of Mr Thomas E Campbell (Longreach) and Miss Helen M A Aldridge (eldest daughter of Mr E.H. Aldridge and the late Mrs Aldridge, of Mooloolah). The bride, who was given away by her uncle (Mr G J Riding), in the absence of her father, wore a gown of shell pink crepe de Chine, trimmed with pin tucks and silver beads, and the skirt with inlet panels of pale pink georgette were heavilv beaded. Her pink tulle veil was beaded with pearls, and was arranged with a wreath of orange blossoms. She also carried a bouquet of white carnations, tied with streamers and pink tulle. There were three bridesmaids in attendance. The chief bridesmaid, Miss H Sanderson, wore a frock of pale pink crepe de Chine, the bodice of which was trimmed with a beaded yoke of lace, the skirt being pin tucked and inlet with guipure lace Miss Emmie Aldridge (sister of the bride) wore a powder blue taffeta frock made in Early Victorian style, relieved with true lovers' knots and silver lace Miss Alice Riding (cousin of bride) wore electric blue crepe de Chine, trimmed with pin tucks and lace. The maids wore caps of tulle adorned with pale pink rosebuds, and they carried bouquets of pale pink roses, tied with satin streamers. Mr B Stower carried out the duties of best man, and Mr Stan McCabe and Mr B Phillips were groomsmen. A gold brooch, inlaid with sapphire Stone, was the bridegroom's gift to the bride, who gave the bridegroom a set of engraved initial gold sleeve-links. The chief bridesmaid received a gold wristlet watch, and gold brooches were given to the younger bridesmaids A reception was held at Webster's Cafe Majestic where 50 guests were entertained by the uncle and aunt of the bride. A feature of the decorations was a large wedding bell, suspended above the bridal table, and presented by Mrs W Mengel. The two tier wedding cake was presented by the chief bridesmaid. Subsequently the bridal pair left for Cairns, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride's travelling frock was of mastic crepe de Chine, trimmed with apple green, with which she wore a hat to harmonise.
