MRS. S. J. COKER.
INNISFAIL, September 20.-At the age of 80, there passed away, at the Innisfail Hospital to-day, Mrs. Sarah Jane Coker, and with her demise a pioneer Queenslander has been removed. The late Mrs. Coker was a native of Rockhampton, but in later years spent a great portion of her time at Mackay, Bowen and Innisfail. At the latter place she lived with Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Ralph. Deceased was an excellent worker for the Church of England, whilst patriotic bodies also claimed her deepest attention, and as a result of her activities, many hundreds of pounds were raised during the 1914-18 war. The late Mrs. Coker is survived by three daughters (Mrs. S. R. Ralph, of Innisfail, Mrs. A. L. Black, of Mackay, and Mrs. W. H. Bailey, of Rockhampton), and one son, Mr. T. Coker, of Ipswich. The funeral will leave St. Alban's Church of England at 11 o'clock to-morrow (Friday) morning for the Innisfail cemetery.

LATE MRS SARAH J. COKER
News has been received of the death at Innisfail of Mrs Sarah J. Coker, at the age of 80. Mrs Coker was born in Rockhampton, but had spent a portion of her life at Mackay and Bowen, and at Innisfail she resided with her son in-law and daughter (Mr and Mrs S. R. Ralph).
She was an indefatigable worker for patriotic bodies, and during the last war she was responsible for raising large sums of money. During her residence in Rockhamp- ton she was a member of St Paul's Cathedral and took an active interest in church and charitable work and helped to raise funds on various occasions at fetes and functions to aid the General Hospital and Ambulance Brigade.
When in reminiscent mood Mrs Coker could recall many important happenings of the pioneering days of this State her memory being most retentive. Her friends were legion and she will be missed by many in various parts of Queensland. She is survived by three daughters (Mrs S. R. Ralph, Innisfail, Mrs A. L. Black, Mackay, and Mrs W. H. Bailey, Rockhampton) and one son (Mr T. Coker, of Ipswich).
