    • John died five months after he married. Daughter Harriet was baptised June 1873, so must have been conceived before his passing. Interestingly, her baptism entry does NOT state that John is deceased.
      <hr>On 1851 census, John Septimus, aged 2, is in the household of his cousin John Coker born C1812 at Chatham, Kent. John is a rope maker.

Administration (with the will) of the effects of John Septimus Coker of 32 Bromley-street Commercial-road-East in the County of Middlesex who died 11 December 1872 at Bromley-street was granted at the Principal Registry under the usual limitations to George Yates of 204 Mile-End-road in the said County Commercial Traveller the brother and guardian of Harriet Elizabeth Coker a minor widow the relict the sole executrix and universal legatee.
      There is an added hand-written notation: This grant ceased and expired. Probate passed at the PR July 1876*
